It's official, i am off to the US this summer to work in YMCA Camp Echo!!
I got a last minute placement this week and i head off to the states in 2 weeks!! Bit of a mad rush to get everything ready, but my visa appointment is booked so thats the most stressful bit is out of the way! I am going to be working in McGaw YMCA Camp Echo in Michigan as barn staff, so i will be working with the horses and teaching the kids how to ride! I'm so excited!
I will be spending over 3 months in the states which is a hell long time, NERVOUS EXCITED! Although, looking at the packing list is stressing me out! Since I'm working with horses I'm probably going to get dirty like everyday and i don't want to run out of clothes before 'laundry day'. Like do i take a travel backpack or do i take a suitcase? STRESS. I somehow have to get a riding hat into my luggage which should be fun! I shall update once i am all packed and ready to go!
I'm going to try and blog my time out there as much as i can, the camp has wifi so i should be able to share my exciting summer!
Has anyone else ever done Camp America before??
